This is a smaller version of the old oil timey lanterns, just 10.5” from base to the top of the loop. It’s meant for tea light or votive candles (for easy clean-up, I’d use the cup from a tea light under the votive!). This has never been used—the glass is clean, the candle holder part is clean. But eventually, the glass will get sooty, so the lid easily twists and lifts up to allow removal of the hurricane glass for cleaning. Base of candle holder reveals that it’s a Yankee Candle product, no other markings. Body is black painted metal. This is probably meant for use inside, but use outside in dry weather is OK. If you leave it outside, however, I’m sure it will eventually rust, but that would add to its old time look!
