Made by Gay Huntley Materials: Jewel Tone Seed Beads, Bead Woven, Hammered Bronze Toggle Clasp, Mesopotamian Art History Inspired Chain style: Bead My fascination with the Silk Road and Mesopotamia inspired this beautiful bead woven collar. The birds are adapted from art history with embellishments created within the Mesopotamian style of art. I wanted this piece to express ancient treasure and used Ruby Red, Deep Turquoise, Carnelian Orange, Emerald Green and Amethyst Purple, and outlined the shapes with Metallic Bronze for rich warmth. Fun fringe hangs from the center flower for texture and movement. This is a gorgeous necklace and sits along the collar bones as a regular shirt collar. The collar measures 18 1/2" around the neck including the hammered bronze toggle clasp. The collar is almost 3" wide at the birds head and breast including the picoted edge. The center fringed flower measures 1 1/2" wide by 4 3/4" long including the fun fringe.
