Hole doesn't affect boot function as nothing attaches to the inner leather lining in boots. Boots are fully functional and in amazing condition for their vintage nature. Brown sueded leather heavy VASQUE laced hiking boots, size 14M. Boots weigh 6.5lbs Heel height is approximately 1" front to 1.5" at heel and sole is slip resistant and rugged.
