The thick rubber sole is non slip and is durable enough for wearing outdoors. They are marked size 6, however, I just want to add something about the size. I wear size 7.5 and these are big on me. I do not have a wide foot but the length is big more like a size 8 if you have narrower feet. If you have wider feet or need something for swollen feet then they would be good for a size 6.
