This stunning couture silk gown has shimmering silver lace and custom-designed floral pattern. It's from the 2015 Gothic Angel collection by Claire Pettibone, a bohemian couture designer. This gown has thick silk lining and intricate French lace. This lace is so unique that it's handmade only for this designer. It is timeless and ethereal. The seaming and placement of the lace showcase the savoir-faire of couture dresses, especially with delicate lace. It's difficult to capture all the beauty here in the pictures here unless you're wearing the dress and standing under the sun. The elegance is undeniable, but with old-world sophistication. This gown is a formal evening gown and a wedding dress. It's very rare to find silk gowns and custom French lace even in couture gowns these days, including Monique Lhuillier and Galia Lahav. You can only find this fabric integrity in vintage gowns and some rare designers who charge sky-high prices. This gown was worn for a total of 10-11 hours. It's dry-cleaned already, but I highly recommend to just do it again. It's size 10 (street sizes 6 & 8) and good for 5'6-5'7 ladies after heels. There's seaming on the sides of the dress, at the shoulders in the front, as well as seaming at the attachment of the bottom of the dress. If you bring it to a good tailor, he/she should know how to detach these. Claire Pettibone chart: size 8-10 measures 36-37 bust, 27-28 waist, 38-39 hips. These are my sizes, but the dress is quite large on me still.
