cyndrellaabbot Hi dear. Is this used? It's beautiful. I'm wanting to get my septum pierced and the piercer agreed I can bring my own jewelry. She said "just make sure it's 14k gold and 10mm" . This is 9.5mm so it's even better. Is it used? does it need to be sterilized? Thank you much!

jazibattle @cyndrellaabbot Hi! This has been used but I work at a piercing studio and we ran it through auto clave/statim and sterilization for 24 hours. It is a 16G piece 9.5mm (3/8)

cyndrellaabbot @jazibattle - That's perfect. I'm wondering about that slight opening there. Will my piercer be able to fully close it by hand or would it need to be closed later on using a plyer? Can it be fully closed by hand?:

cyndrellaabbot @jazibattle - Can you show me the back of it? Since this will be used as starter jewelry, looking closely at the top of the gold ring, that's not ridges are they? If so, do you think that might irritate a new piercing when being slid into the wound,? Sorry for stupid questions.

jazibattle @cyndrellaabbot Hi! I added a picture of the backing. It’s a seam ring so it can be manipulated by the piercer to fully close it during the time of the piercing.

cyndrellaabbot @jazibattle - Oh great! thank you for that information. can I get a little history of it? you said you are familiar with this piece. Was it custom made for you? Did you have a jeweler make it specifically? How old is it and what genre/culture would you put it in? Is it Asian style? Or Indian? It could go either way. And just to confirm, its 14k correct?

cyndrellaabbot @jazibattle - I will be wearing this piece for about a year and I wanted a piece of jewelry that will bring interest and conversation. I've looked at so many pieces handmade on Etsy, and although many are beautiful, I just don't know if any are unique. This looks to me to be one-of-a-kind and antique-ish, either Indian or Asian, and I'm very interested in buying. Would you consider $120?

jazibattle @cyndrellaabbot Yes! I got this piece custom made with 3 Pink Tourmalines set in solid 14k Gold as a 9.5mm. I love the soft hue of the stones with the beaded texture around. I got the piece in June 2024 but sadly I didn't take any great photos with the piece in. I wouldn't say it is technically Indian or Asian but you can wear it how your prefer. As for now, the price is firm but let me know if you change your mind!
