Hi, the only "dent" is where the gold closure sits against the leather on the pocket. It is not accidental, just part of the design. Does that make sense? You can see it in the fourth photo. Not that obvious.
Also, please note the small dark spot on the front of the bag in the lower right corner. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
