casasheila1025 Hi. You did a great job measuring, but I can’t “read” the RISE measurement. That, to me is the most important measurement when I’m buying pants. Please post the rise measurement. Thank you.

casasheila1025 @amonaep I’m really sorry to bother you, but I think you’re measuring just the zipper. The rise is measured from the hem to the top of the pants.

casasheila1025 @amonaep oh, thanks so much! I didn’t know how you’d take it… I certainly didn’t mean it as a criticism. It’s just that I’d like to buy these jeans… if they fit! Thank you very much.

amonaep @casasheila1025 hey! I was not offended at all. I know some people can be. I’m so grateful you took the time to let me know. I just measured the correct way…lol & it’s 8”. Let me know if you need anything else. Thank a!!

casasheila1025 @amonaep hmmmm. I measure 8”. I’m wondering how they’re gonna fit. Would you consider $7? Thanks for all your patience with me. I’m kinda new to Poshmark & buying without trying on.

amonaep @casasheila1025 ok great. Well when you are interested in an item, you can either hit the like button and most people will send you an offer. But if they don’t or you don’t want to wait on them, you can also make an offer yourself. Some people also offer a percentage off for bundles (when you buy more than 1 item from their store).

casasheila1025 @amonaep gee, thx for the information. I really appreciate it, don’t know who to ask about any concerns. Thank you.

amonaep @casasheila1025 feel free to ask me & I’ll try to help. Now the way this works is we have to pay poshmark for each sale. So if I were to tell you something for $7, all I would make is $4.

casasheila1025 @amonaep THANK YOU!!! I had NO idea how it worked. What about the cost of shipping? does the seller make anything off that? I’ve seen ads reading so-&so much for the item, plus a reduction for shipping. I am not in competition with you! :). I’m a retired school teacher who’s on a fixed income & not looking to work, just looking to purchase new clothing since I lost a lotta, lotta weight bcs of nerve damage from shingles & I like my now weight.

amonaep @casasheila1025 ohhh noo. I’m so sorry to hear that. Some poshmark stores offer free shipping but I usually don’t since my prices are already so low. Just as an example, if I sold something to you for $7 $ I gave you free shipping, then I would have to pay for the shipping. So, I would only make $4, & I’d still have to pay for shipping so that would $8.27. So I would be in the red & owe more money to poshmark. Hope this makes sense.

casasheila1025 @amonaep just thought of something… that’s my “retired teacher brain” slowly moving. Btw, I have 3 daughters & 1 son. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree, the tree meaning me… all 3 of my girls are teachers! Ok, Where does the money YOU pay for each item come in? You didn’t “find” these jeans?? you had to have paid for them. Where does that fit into the, say, $4? Gee, I hope you have time for this… interesting! Thanks SO much

amonaep @casasheila1025 Let’s see if I can explain it correctly. So let’s say I purchased them for $40. They don’t fit me anymore, so I try to sell them online for $20. If I sell them for $8, then I have to pay PM $2.95 out of the $8 which only leaves me $5.05. The higher the amount that we sell an item for, the more money we have to pay to PM. They have a formula for the $ amounts but I’m not exactly sure what they all are. I hope this makes sense.

casasheila1025 @amonaep thanks so much, it’s just idle curiosity, as I said, I’m not looking to become a Poshmark person. Ok. How about I raise my offer? I don’t want to take advantage of your kindness.
