Reposhing this item I purchased from @jgryskevich. I did not realize these were denim, soft but heavier than I wanted. Also, this listing is for the PANTS ONLY. The jacket is not included. Finally they are VERY WIDE legs & I am not tall enough to pull them off, IMO, but I'm short; plus, I cannot wear even a tiny heel.

@veronicab yes it's approximately 32 in total. I don't have my sewing measuring tape so all I had was a yardstick and I've attached the picture showing that flat across it is 16 in. I don't know if it helps or not but I'm comfortably a size 12 in Old Navy brand and these fit perfectly on the waist.
