Early 1900s Archaeological Revival Brooch, 1000 Silver, Enamel & Cannetille Pin

This exquisite handmade brooch from the early 1900s is a true masterpiece. The archaeological revival design is beautifully complemented by the sterling silver material, intricate cannetille work and the turquoise colored ‘cloisonné ’ enamel details. The center features an Alexander the Great style coin displaying the head of Alexander, facing right and wearing the skin of the Nemean lion. This brooch measures 37mm (1.45”) in diameter and weighs 7.4 grams. There is one tiny silver bead missing on the left middle edge (see last photo) which is reflected in the lower price.
