Hello, Thank you for your interest in the Free People black velvet jacket. The exterior fabric content is mainly cotton/rayon with really no stretch, and the lining fabric is rayon, which really doesn't stretch.
Looking at the garment again, I can not see signs of excessive wear. It is a crushed velvet, so it will always have a brushed look. The item is used but in excellent condition.
