PEYO Papa Smurf is the oldest Smurf, at 546 years old, and is the leader of all Smurfs. Papa Smurf is also a magician who creates potions in his laboratory. According to Peyo, the original author of the Smurfs comic strip, the term and the accompanying language of the Smurfs came about during a meal he had with his colleague and friend André Franquin at the Belgian coast. Having momentarily forgotten the word "salt", Peyo asked him (in French) to pass the schtroumpf. This Papa Smurf is 12” in height and missing the voice box on the underside pocket, but would be great hiding place for an extra added gift of money!
