Vintage Y2K Prom Dress from Lisa Kane for Party Time Formals, style 6342. New with tags. Originally retailed for $689. This true early 2000s gown features a rich turquoise satin base with allover beadwork in floral and scattered crystal patterns. A sheer illusion mesh waist adds shape and detail, while the deep V neckline and open crisscross back bring in bold Y2K energy. The full-length skirt has a soft flare and front slit for movement. There are two tiny spots on the mesh where a delicate bead came loose—it’s minimal, fixable in a pinch, and extra beads are included with the dress. The flaw has been photographed, though it’s so small it barely shows up. One clasp on the back is missing (easy to reattach), and there’s a faint mark near the hem, on the portion of the skirt that grazes the floor. I haven’t tried to remove it, and it’s only visible when the fabric is fully spread out. Due to the length of the dress, any hemming or alteration would likely eliminate it completely. See photos for details. Otherwise, the dress is in lovely condition and truly gorgeous in person. Tagged a size 14. Displayed clipped at the back due to mannequin size.
