In 1944 the Swiss engineer Hans Hilfiker invented the Swiss railways clock. The characteristic red second hand soon became its most recognizable feature. The minimalistic, yet functional design, reminiscent of the Bauhaus style, makes this clock a true icon. Featuring a quartz movement, an aluminum case, with a glass face, this Mondaine Official Railways Design clock is made in Switzerland. Dimensions are approximately 9 3/4 inches long and 1 3/4 inches high. This is an opened box with original packing material, but the clock itself is unused and in excellent condition. The clock was tested and runs-battery not included.
