This is a lovely set of vintage rhinestone jewel tone rainbow color jewelry. The bracelet is a depression pot metal bracelet set with marquis cut rhinestones. Meant to catch the eye and feel good on the skin, this unmarked Depression Era bracelet demonstrates the bold design and careful manufacture available in moderately priced costume jewelry during the worst economic downturn in our history. Hollywood films fueled the market for impressive jewels with shiny art deco musical pageants and extravagant costumes. This bracelet focuses all the attention on the chunky, prong set, subtly colored marquise stones, very likely of Czechoslovakian crystals.
