GBC Bates Hummer Three-Hole Punches, also known as "Heavy Duty Paper Punches", were made by Bates Manufacturing Company in Hackettstown, New Jersey. The punch heads on this device are adjustable to any distance between center measures from 13/16" to 8 1/2". The maximum distance from center of holes to edge of sheet is 1/2". The punch heads are interchangeable. There are adjustable side gauge and measurement scale for accuracy. The base, heads and lever are made of high-strength zinc alloy. The punch has rubber feet to prevent marring. The device is finished in gray baked enamel base with nickel trim. The base size measures 10 1/2" x 5 5/8". It punches 32 sheets of 20 lb. paper. The GBC Bates Hummer three-hole punch is regarded as the best heavy duty paper punch ever produced. Your unit is in very good working order.
