Paperback, black-and-white illustrations, published 1962. This copy is in good-to-acceptable vintage condition. There are a few cosmetic defects (see pics). The cover has scuffing and shows light staining, pages are yellowed--particularly around the edges--and the title page is torn off at the top. That said, all of the pages are present and the binding is tight. No cracks in the spine. No dog-ears, no highlights, no writing. Processing photos for these old books is tricky (and of course everybody's using a different browser and screen and filter setting) but I did my best to get the colors accurate to the way the book appears in natural light. I have had this copy for god knows how long, probably around 40 years, but we're downsizing and it's time to let some things go. I was always a big fan of the Folger Library series--I love the illustrations and the nice compact size, and it's so satisfying to have that side-by-side glossary of archaic words next to the original text. 🤓
