When you put this ring on your finger, you will be transported to The Roaring Twenties!!! The days of F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald...fountains of champagne...top hats & tails...knee length strands of pearls! You get the picture!
This beautiful eight sided onyx and diamond ring was created in the 1920's. Insofar as the mounting allows, the diamond is approximately 1/4 carat Old Mine Cut (meaning it has less facets than diamonds cut presently and the culet is flat, not pointed). The gallery work is done very well with a bed of white gold holding the onyx secured by four split prongs, creating eight prongs protecting the beautiful black stone. The diamond is bezel-set with fine milgraining going around the diamond. The circumference of ring is yellow gold. Coming up both sides of the ring are white gold shields with two fine lines of black enameling underneath, This gives it a very statuesque appeal which was the ideal in the Golden Age. The ring is a size 5.5 and can be sized by a professional jeweler. The ring will come to you in the green velvet box as shown.

Hi, does the ring have dust on it, or is the onxy scratched/chipped?

Ick! I didn’t realize it was so linty! I should redo the photos! It’s lint from the Selvyt cloth. If you scroll through, the lint shows up and disappears in different shots. It isn’t chipped. I just took awful photos that day 🫣
