Beautiful and rare vintage Sterling Silver oval shaped locket with a raised flower / floral design on the front. The inside of the locket is empty and can hold two photographs. Per research it’s Circa 1940’s and hand made by The JMF Jewelry Company founded by John M. Fisher and Charles R. Harris in 1879 Originally known as Harris and Fisher, in 1885 the company became the JM Fisher Company, hence the JMF. The company operated until 1949 in Attleboro, MA. This style of necklace is commonly referred to as a "sweetheart" locket. They were popular gifts during the WWIl Era and often given by soldiers to their sweethearts. Excellent Condition.
