Pendleton The Original Board Shirt in Blue 1961 Original Surf Plaid
Style# AA022-30789
It all started in the early 1960s, when Southern California surfers started wearing Pendleton Board Shirts on the beach. In ’62 the Beach Boys wore this particular pattern on their first album cover, of ‘Surfer Girl’ which gave Pendleton its rise to cult status.
An essential among California surfers in the '60s, and still Pendleton’s bestselling shirt today. Made from premium, machine-washable wool sourced from local ranchers in Umatilla County, Oregon near Pendleton’s mill. Rugged, midweight fabric is water, odor and stain-resistant. Square bottom, sports collar (looped top button), and two bias-cut pockets.
