This novel is the second in The Kingkiller Chronicle, and one of the greatest works of fantasy of the 21st century. Here follows an inn keeper whom lives a "honest" life whilst spinning wild stories to the simple townsfolk. Stories involving myths and legends and monsters and a legendary adventurer and wizard named Kvothe. Little do these townsfolk know that Kvothe is he and these are his own tales, until one day the outside world comes knocking and turns everything upside down. Just a brilliantly entertaining piece of literature with lyric prose and truly phantasmagoric imagery. Worth reading book one as well! Book three isn't out yet, but the author is working on it. :) Nice, long read - nearly a thousand pages at 993. And I included the bonus side story also connected to this Kingkiller Chronicles, called "The Slow Regard of Silent Things."
