butterfly185 @tawney19 I have my grandmother's elephant figurines from England. I'm first generation American, so I don't really fit in either culture. I still have some of the Noddy cassette tapes that my mother didn't destroy. I had three children's tea sets that she disposed of, as she did with everything and everyone I liked, leaving me with rubbish. Your posher photo is absolutely fabulous!

butterfly185 @tawney19 Found out a couple of years ago she had died in 2018 from breast cancer. No one bothered to tell me, so I had been hypervigilant for her for 5 years too many. I had a double masectomy and simultaneous reconstruction, after testing and imaging showed I was high risk. Didn't need her ruining my life any further from the grave.

butterfly185 @tawney19 Look forward to the books. Nothing like Beatrix Potter stories. I hear them in my head in my native British accent that I wish I still had as I read them. My native accent only surfaces when I am furious or upset or when I am around Brits. 😄
