Both of these gemstones have the same chemical composition and the same mineral structure. Trace amounts of impurities determine if a gem corundum will be red, ruby or blue, sapphire. Water can wear down the stretch cord. • I recommend not wearing your bracelet to bed. Due to the nature of this stretch cord it is possible, over time, to stretch further and could even break.
