Morning,
You've a nice vintage bag of sale. I've info on this vintage classic handbag style pocketbook - also known as a "Daytime Pocketbook" This is from the early to mid 60's by the styling and the shape of the frame.
As to being a "Pill Box" design, type and style, it's not. If you would like to see such handbag, there is one for sale here on Poshmark. You can type in
"Ivory White Patent Pill Box" and you'll see what first appeared in the sores in the Spring of '60.
I take that

either the label or stamped marking showing the brand is gone. This is a style that would have been Air Step, Miss America, Naturalizer, etc...
I hope this info is useful.

@zzzzzz111111 “A "Town and Country" clothing store/brand: A store called Town & Country opened in 1943 in a house and later moved to a different location on Church Street. A vintage clothing enthusiast also mentions it as a brand from which they bought clothing, suggesting its presence during that era. “
I hope this is useful! Thank you 🥰☮️❤️💃🏽
