Antique Imperial Carnival Glass Vase Ripple Electric Purple Amethyst Antique, Used This is an amazing carnival glass vase made by Imperial Glass Company of Ohio.  Imperial Glass started in 1901 and produced its first glass in 1904.  Imperial Glass continued to produce Carnival Glass through to the late 1920s.  This vase was created in the Rippled pattern and is amethyst colored.  When you hold this vase up to the light, it is like looking at a rainbow with its iridescent purple, gold, pink, blue and even light blue. The colors change depending upon the available lighting. The Rippled pattern is very unusual and it has a flared, or scalloped rolled top edge.
