Vintage A or R Muñoz Taxco 925 Sterling Silver Leaf Necklace 17” Handmade Mexico

Classic vintage sterling silver necklace handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico by artisan A. (or possibly R.) Muñoz both are recognized makers from the region. This 17-inch necklace features a delicate, nature-inspired leaf motif accented by graceful spiral links and closes with a hook clasp. While lightweight in appearance, it’s made of solid 925 sterling silver and crafted to last. The piece is hallmarked “A. (possibly R.) Muñoz Sterling Taxco 925” and notably lacks an eagle mark, indicating it was made prior to 1948, before the Mexican government introduced the eagle assay system for silver. Based on both hallmark and design, it likely dates to the late 1930s or 1940s and is a fine early example of Taxco silversmithing. In beautiful vintage condition with a soft patina and light wear consistent with age. Gently polished but not overly cleaned, allowing its vintage character to shine through. She’s truly a unique and striking vintage Taxco piece and a fantastic addition to any vintage jewelry collection.
