Fort Drum was built on El Fraile island in the entrance of Manila Bay in 1909. The concrete structure house four 14" guns. The purpose of the fort was to defend against other navies entering the bay. This soft cover book was published in 1999. The contents cover the history through the beginning, the surrender to the Japanese to the United States retaking the fort in 1945. The 64 pages are full of information and photos. The book is in very good condition with the exception of a hand written birthday note on the upper inside cover.
