This is a wonderful 1950s house dress aka housecoat or lounging gown featuring an Asian inspired gold printed pattern on black fabric. This 1950s house dress does up with six brass buttons down the front. It has short sleeves with turned cuffs and a narrow standing collar, also in the Asian style. There is a pocket built into either side. There is gold piping trimming the cuffs, pockets and collar. The dress is unlined.
Material: Acetate, which at the time was used to mimic silk.
Sizing: No size is indicated, but this 1950s house dress should fit a medium to large size. It is meant to be worn as a comfortable garment - please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of this 1950s house dress into consideration:
