Vintage Goldtone CUFFLINKS Possible Football Makers Mark Signed Old Money Classy

These cufflinks have been sitting in a drawer for many years. My husband does not use them, they belonged to his dad (who rarely wore them-my husband does not remember ever seeing him wear them). So, there is no sentimental value with them. We are clearing out the clutter. Please see the pictures for details. They measure a little more than 1/2 inch squared. They have a Makers Mark of an S inside of a circle. While doing my research, I found two possible makers. They are Somers-Ernst-Alfran Inc. and Shepard Manufacturing Company. I am not sure, so I am providing you the information that I can. The center design looks like a football shape (in my opinion). Thank you for looking.
