Heisey Glass started in 1895 in Newark, Ohio and, at its peak, employed over 700 workers. Heisey glassware is readily identifiable by its high clarity and brilliance. Declining sales after WWII & the Korean War finally forced the plant to close in 1957.
This 1920’s jam jar is thick-walled and heavy. It measures 4 inches tall by 3.25 inches wide. It is in near perfect condition except for a tiny chip on the bottom and not having its original lid & glass spoon.
