Antique Raku Fired Wall Pocket, Japan. Signed in Kanji on the back, under the hook. I love the small size and the organic “cocoon” shape. This type of pottery is typically porous and therefore not waterproof so you can either place a petite spray of fresh flowers in a small, water-filled prescription bottle hidden inside as I did, or fill with dried flowers. Even empty, it is such a unique, artistic accent piece.
