Crown Trifari 1960’s Goldtone Beaded necklace vintage Metal Logo tag

Vintage Trifari Jewelry gold beaded ball texture necklace. Each bead and spring clasp is a Goldtone metal. Trifari crown -t hang tag dates to 1960’s. Measures 24” in length , balls 4cm. Weight 1.7 oz Excellent condition . After the war Trifari realized that customers demanded longer lasting metal and set out their own , lower cost, non-tarnishing metal alloy. They succeeded and named it Trifanium . Trifanium -in 1947 Trifari patented a shiny metal alloy which didn’t tarnish . Silver in color, it could be plated with gold to create a ‘golden toned Trifanium “. From the 1950’s onwards Trifanium formed the base of almost all of Trifari’s jewelry. It has lived up to its credentials. It’s very rare to find a Trifari piece from the 1950’s or later on which the metal has tarnished or corroded.
