Antique Goofus Glass Pin/Brooch

These old reverse painted pins are lovely and were made depicting many scenes. Originally they were souvenir pins much like the mosaic pins from Italy. They are sometimes called Goofus glass. Goofus glass was only made in the United States by a handful of manufactures and this pin is unsigned so there is no way to be sure. It has a gilded silver-tone frame. The background for the floral is an iridescent pale yellow section that looks like Mother of Pearl. The pin closes with a "C" clasp that works great.
