Quilt MADE IN : 1820
BY: MISS SARA WERTZ (Never Married)
She lived in the 500 block of Carlisle Street
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania - 17325
She was an Aunt of Ethyl Weaner Dickert's
Grandfather Rummel (Maggie Weaner's father)
This quilt was made before the Civil War(1861-1865). One of the major battles during the Civil War was fought in Gettysburg, which is where this quilt was made. This quilt may have provided warmth and comfort to someone during those times. If only it could talk and tell us stories of days long ago.
Measurements: Approx 93” x 94.5”
Pre loved item - as is - please see photos for reference to measurements and condition. I was unable to post as many photos as I would’ve liked. Please note: there are some areas of staining and wear(tattering). Items color may appear different in person due to lighting at the time photo of item was taken. The quilt may have been stored with moth balls in the past. Any scent that lingers comes from its history. I have not cleaned it to avoid damaging the quilt. This item is AS IS and non-refundable.
