Ex-Ghostbuster and acting legend, Bill Murray, co-founded the St. Paul Saints in 1992 and partly owned them until he and his partners sold their rights to Diamond Baseball Holdings in 2023. As an independent team who answered to no one in the pros (at least until 2021, when they became the Minnesota Twins’ affiliate), the Saints were a force in the Northern League, winning five league titles and nine division titles.
