This bag is breathtaking. It has my dopamine receptors firing on all cylinders. The quality of this bag is impressive, so I did some research. It turns out, this company no longer exists, but for a time, they salvaged vintage huipil (traditional Mayan woven panels) as well as employed women in impoverished areas of central and South America to weave and embroider the art utilized in these bags. As such, each and every piece produced was one of a kind.
This tote is easily large enough to serve as a weekender bag, with one zippered and two open inner pockets, as well as full sized pockets which are worked into the design on the exterior of the bag (where you see the black half starburst between the handles, that's the opening to the pocket, which runs the full height and width of the bag).
The lining is a durable, natural fiber reminiscent of denim, and all trimmings are genuine leather. The hardware, including the 5 feet, are beautiful, untarnished silver. The yarn pom poms are original to the bag, but I believe the pineapple keychain was a later addition.
Measurements are approximately
18" wide x 14" tall x 5.5" deep. I didn't measure the straps, but it's a shoulder bag length, with hardware to attach a strap of your choosing if you want to use it crossbody.
Condition is very good, with wear consistent with use, such as some character to the leather and two small spots in the lining where it looks like a piece of a blow pop cracked off and stuck in the fiber 😂
