Scanlan Theodore Camel Cape Jacket

I got this gorgeous Scanlan Theodore coat on sale and thought I had absolutely scored—it’s a size S, it has the most perfect warm autumn tone, and the cut is stunning, especially the way it subtly flares out toward the bottom. It’s classy but a little playful, and I could already imagine it paired with boots, layered over a chunky knit, walking through crisp fall leaves. But—of course there’s a but—it fits weirdly big on me. Like, surprisingly big for a size S. The shoulders sit too low, and instead of giving that chic oversized look, it just kind of swallows me in all the wrong places. I tried belting it, I tried different layers underneath, but nothing quite worked. It’s a beautiful coat—just not beautiful on me, sadly. So here I am, reluctantly parting ways with it, hoping it finds someone it fits the way it was meant to.
