What can I say? Just insanely nice shoes. This is an extremely chic variation on a spectator shoe -- somewhere between a pump, a spectator shoe, and a ballet flat. Regarding the way these are made -- if you’ve never tried the Bologna construction you don’t know what you’re missing. It’s like wearing fine kidskin gloves on your feet. "Bologna construction refers to how the shoe leather is put together with the sole: instead of having a separate welt or cork medium to which the upper is stitched thereby joining it to a sole stitched underneath, the upper leather is wrapped all the way around the foot, and directly stitched down to the sole." Unfortunately my feet got bigger after my pregnancies, otherwise I’d keep these gorgeous treasures for life! Amazing.
