Herend Rothschild Vintage Bird pattern #7752/RO with "old mark” the "old mark" well displayed on the underside. This mark was used by the Herend Manufactory between 1915 and 1930. About the Herend Rothschild pattern: First created in 1860 for the Rothschild family of Europe, it is considered by collectors to be the essence of hand painting on porcelain. Twelve different designs portray a 19th century story about Baroness Rothschild, who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Vienna home. Days later it was found by her gardener, who saw birds playing with it in a tree.
