Sweet and comfy vintage white cotton nightgown. The scoop neckline hosts a yoke in open work crochet with interwoven ribbon to tie at front. The yoke is 8" wide at the back and 4" at the front. The skirt has a 12" overlay flounce bordered with 5" scallop edge open work crochet. The neckline and armholes are edged in crochet. Extra care was taken with the panels of the nightgown finished in French seaming. There is no label. This is most likely home tailored. We would place this as pre-1950--the shorter length is unusual for early 20th century Size: no size label--it is meant to fit loosely.
