Wedgwood Jasperware - Christmas 10th Anniversary plate - 1969 to 1978 This collector plate was a limited run of 10,000 and it commemorates the first ten years (1969-1978) of Wedgwood's Christmas plate series, which each featured different London landmarks. Each of the nine cameos on the rim were individually featured on the previous nine year's edition. Key details: -Material: Jasperware (unglazed stoneware) -Color: Portland blue with white and light blue relief decorations -Diameter: 9.5 inches (24 cm) -Features: Nine cameo reliefs of London landmarks around the edge, including the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and Westminster Abbey. In the center is Windsor Castle. -Text: "Tenth Anniversary Christmas 1969 - 1978" -Origin: England -Comes with original box and inserts. -Plate is marked: "WEDGWOOD", "Made in England", "PH" (artisan??) and "78" (78 of 10,000??). No chips, cracks or repairs. It IS a little dusty, I didn't think to clean it off before photographing. Box is a bit beat up; contains the protective plate-shaped Styrofoam.
