Elegant women's watch in a stunning solid 14k gold. Perfect for adding a touch of vintage luxury to any outfit. Waltham is a name that is well known in the world of horology. This gold wrist watch was created by adding the loops for a strap to a pocket watch. The original dial has not been touched and has a few hairline cracks that just add to this authentic vintage piece. You could also wear it with a leather strap.

shasio Sorry to bother you again - is the glass in good shape? I assume it needs to be wound? Thanks!

dosserdd @shasio it's no bother at all, the glass is in good shape and you would wind it every 24hrs

shasio Ok, one more question. The bars that were added to hold the band - are they 14k as well?
Jul 25Reply
dosserdd
dosserdd @shasio yes, the bars are 14k also. The nice thing about the bars is they are wide enough to accommodate a larger metal band or a leather strap

dosserdd @shasio You can never ask too many questions about the world of horology. These pieces survived the unfortunate process of being melted down for the gold in the cases. Once wrist watches were introduced to the market many pocket watches were put away in drawers and when the owners passed the kids or whoever inherited the watches saw no use for them and took what they could get for the gold.

dosserdd @shasio the only reason that I counter offered is because Poshmark take 20% and the $585 is my break even number. I hope it doesn't put it out of reach, if it does I am happy to try work out a price that both of us can be happy with.

shasio @dosserdd I really appreciate it. I’ve been looking for a watch for such a long time and I wanted something unique this is certainly unique. I would have paid the full price if I could, but unfortunately I don’t have unlimited funds. I appreciate you working with me thank you so much!

dosserdd @shasio I totally understand and I appreciate the fact that this is going to someone who will treasure it. This is a fun thing to do. When you get the watch go to pocketwatchdatabase.com and put in the serial number of the watch. It will tell you exactly when the watch was made, how many were made in the style etc. I believe this is a 1913 which moves it from vintage to antique, because it is over 100yrs old
