Foil and Sabre Fencing Book by Louis Rondelle 1st Edition Published 1882 Antique

Classic fencing book 'Foil and Sabre' by Louis Rondelle. This is a first edition book published but Dana Estes & Company. Unfortunately this book was a former library books, the covers have seen better days, heavily stained, corners dented, please examine pictures .However, there are a few quirks to this book that I find interesting that helps me overlook that. 1. Glued to the inner front cover is a ‘brochure’ for the fencing master Orest Meykar who was a founding member of what is now the USFCA, he was a coach at Washington University (St. Louis), here’s the fun part, this book was in a library in St. Louis. Now although I have no proof, I believe Orest Meykar likely could have put that in the book. 2. Another interesting piece is that other similar copies of this book are published by Estes and Lauriat whereas this copy was published by Dana Estes & Company. This ultimately means the Estes and Lauriat publishing company dissolved 6 years prior to what was thought to be to be. Although again I have no proof, I do believe this is one of the earliest books produced by the Dana Estes & Company publishing agency. He has an avid traveler and benefactor to numerous colleges. All reasonable offers will be considered. This should appeal to collectors of fencing memorabilia as well as book collectors alike. Will do my best to answer questions.
