jadet4 @vixen676 But it’s what makes the feed. The feed is now ONLy just shared and that can be achieved ONLY by ENL your own listings. The feed is now only just shared. Another Posher’s cannot share your listing to the feed. Community sharing is great for community activity and closet involvement. Hence, my struggle with SGs. And our sharing services can’t share our stuff anymore in a way that benefits actual selling.

vixen676 @jadet4 I saw the blog, but it's not really HUGE differences? I don't think Poshmark just decided one day to completely steer the entire shopping process in a new direction. It's a result of what Poshmark has already grown and evolved into. Shoppers didn't shop from the feed (the feed you created for your followers was filled with what you shared all day long... stuff that possibly wasn't their size, taste, price point, etc.)

vixen676 @jadet4 Shoppers shop by searching "red long sleeve dress size small" so Posh revamped the feed to be custom tailored to each shopper based on their impressions, clicks, likes, searches, purchaes etc. in the FOR YOU feed. Posh algorithm is trying to show them stuff they're more likely to buy than from the river vs what the feed used to be.

vixen676 @jadet4 And the FOR YOU feed is only suggestive and psychology. Showing you what you like, so you'll stay in the app longer, click on more stuff, perhaps search a bit longer because the suede boots you were just shown were cute but you'd prefer them in brown. Shoppers will still be searching to find the things they want, just like they did prior to Nov 3rd, just like they were searching three months ago.

jadet4 @vixen676 True for shoppers and their individual shopping habits but for SHARING….its different the just shared items are the only ones that are put in the feed algorithm. This didn’t happen overnight- it evolved- their goal is to make this site more about selling. Ridding of fake closets and scams.

jadet4 @vixen676 When shoppers shop buy red dress- the sort is by proven closets & every item of red dress in their 4 square feed is available for purchase. Is sharing others’ listings important? Yes, but for keeping you on the good side of the algorithm. You also must promptly respond to buyers, ship quickly, maintain an active closet.

jadet4 @vixen676 I kinda blame PM for the confusion. They should’ve just published the changes without sneaking it little by little. Ship fees ✅ Remove bulk sharing ✅ it’s all for the goal of increasing profits and sales. New CEO yep. ✅

vixen676 @jadet4 Based on what you're saying, I guess I'm not seeing what changes you don't like? Sharing doesn't hold the same benefits it once did. No one is saying to quit sharing if you don't want to. Some sharing is currently necessary to maintain PA status and some sharing is good for the algorithm. Posh is literally saying you can back off the sharing. Isn't that a good thing? I share 2hrs a day. I'll happily cut down my sharing 😄

vixen676 @jadet4 PFFs sharing your items only sent the listings to their followers feed, which no one shopped anymore anyway. So, posh replaced the feed to a FOR YOU feed so it's more in line with what someone might want to see instead of a feed filled with everything jade, vixen, serenity, justpeep etc happened to share that day. That's a good change, isn't it? Only your own self shares could move your listings higher in just shared search results. So, nothing has changed there.

vixen676 @jadet4 At this point, don't you think you're a proven seller? Don't you already respond promptly to buyers, ship quickly and maintain an active closet? I don't see any changes regarding any of these ideas? Shipping fees went down. Yay! With the most recent USPS price hikes, shipping on posh was going to be upwards of $11 🤯 $6.29 shipping is a good thing!

vixen676 @jadet4 Bulk sharing being removed... I don't know the exact reasons but maybe it's to help control fake closets or overuse of helper apps (sharing, listing, etc) ? Some inconvenience, yes, but if you cut down on sharing, you can dedicate that time to self sharing?

If they're making more money, it's because WE'RE making more money. Win win, both sellers and investors making more money They're making these changes so we ALL make more money 😃

jadet4 @vixen676 I think the confusion lies in the KIND of sharing. Self sharing & Community sharing. Self sharing is uber important! Community sharing (like in SG) no longer impacts visibility in the feed. So, we should be ENL at least 1 full round per day. I think maybe that should’ve been made clearer.

jadet4 @vixen676 Absolutely!! It’s a win for us for sure! Since 11/3, I’ve sold at least 2 per day & 1 day was much more! It’s great for sellers & buyers alike! My struggle is with sharing in a group?!? We share to our followers- where is that? It’s been established that the feed is just shared items. Who are we sharing to in SGs?? My share closet has been cut by 1/3.. Who are we sharing to??? PM says nowhere.

vixen676 @jadet4 I think I'm behind in the updates (which I'm totally fine with!!) I'm abusing my UPDATE button everytime I see it, but I think? the updates happen regardless, little by little when your phone/ device periodically updates

vixen676 @jadet4 Do you have most of the updates? when you share do you still have the option to share to followers? is that going away, so the only way to send share will be ENL? 🤔 I never ENL'd. Sharing to followers will also push you higher in the JUST SHARED search resultsat the same time, so that's what I've always done?

jadet4 @vixen676 You don’t have to ENL you can self share but self share goes to followers (which don’t exist) . Share services don’t work either. It’s just the SG that are going to suffer and those are important to many of us bc of the social aspect. One of my very very favorite friends , I met here on Poshmark.

vixen676 @jadet4 Yesss exactly... SHARE groups might become obsolete 😄 that's not to say other types of groups won't start up. Sellers started share groups, not posh. Those were created by sellers coming together to max benefit the features on posh. I think that will happen again 😉 We CAN still share if we wanted to, it's just kind of wasted efforts. No biggie. We'll direct our efforts to new things that are beneficial to us as sellers 😃

vixen676 @jadet4 I have always focused on self shares, for the benefit of pushing my listings higher in (just shared default) search results. I do share groups for the benefit of the algorithm (and friendships :) I haven't been on board with thinking the old feed was beneficial to sellers in several years. I am VERY on board with the new feed and changes.

vixen676 @jadet4 Awww boo (sort of...) I'm rolling out a new group new week 🤫 It was going to be Boot Camp themed? Daily exercises to get your algorithm going type of thing. I also toyed with the idea of "let's get physical" / Olivia Newton John themed, Daily workouts theme. but I made a silly theme as a spoof and I'm kind of loving it too...

vixen676 @jadet4 I run Blast Off (80 pffs/6 days) and Glam Gals (20pffs/5 days) I'm kind of excited about switching gears to a group that didn't need to be babysat, shares checked. If you don't do the activities, you're only hurting yourself rather than letting down your PFFs because you didn't come through with your commitment
