established 1849-1859, early Wedgwood & Company, very interesting history and new method of incorporating design became possible for the middle class folk to obtain quality dinner ware. This one is an original part of a set long ago separated but itself, carefully preserved. It's strong 'stoneware' is in perfect condition, no cracks or nicks. intriguing design in dark mulberry contrasts the white stone clay. Victorian era piece!
