Vintage Captain Ship Wheel Decor

The image shows a vintage or antique, maybe mid-century, sea captain statue, likely made of chalkware or ceramic, often referred to as an "Old Salt" figure.  This statue is a bearded sea captain, smoking a pipe, and holding a ship's wheel. His original paint has been redone by someone but he still has that old saltydog aura about him. He is almost 16" tall & about 8" wide at the base. He's obviously weathered some stormy seas but in all that the only thing I really see is a tiny little chip on the base in the front. He can definitely use some attention, a new home, a good bath & TLC. please check photos carefully if being worn and battered by the sea is not acceptable. He needs a home.
