This amazing Mary Poppins parrot handle umbrella is a Disney limited edition release from 2006, replicated by Kevin Kidney & Jody Daily for exclusive Disney Store collectors. This brilliantly constructed memento of one of Disney’s most beloved movies has been so authentically replicated with the exact color carved wood of the original bird face & baleful glass eyes of the original! Measuring 39”, it features a black cotton dome with a snap closure, a brass tip, & wood aging/cracking in the face just like the original! One of the feather tips arrived with the wee point removed, (right face pic) I believe that may be part of the aged look from the original museum piece that they were trying to achieve. The beak will open minimally with the depression of the button, but you need to hand close it. This cinematic gem comes with the certificate of authenticity, still sealed in its plastic envelope, as I never wanted to break the seal for collectibility sake. It comes in a purple satin lined case & I still have my original shipping box too! More scarce to find, this beauty of an umbrella has sold for much more on other sites, but is priced to sell quickly, as I’m downsizing for the retirement place.
