Issued June 24 1974, Endless Summer gathered the Beach Boys’ 1962-65 surf-and-cars singles into a double-album that shot to #1 on Billboard and later went 3×-Platinum. This U.S. gatefold still sports Keith McConnell’s lush jungle artwork and bright orange Capitol labels. The sleeve shows moderate edge/corner rubs and a hint of ringwear but the spine is solid. Both discs grade VG: glossy with scattered light hairlines; a quick spot-play found no skips. Side One opens with “Surfin’ Safari,” while Side Four closes on the breezy “All Summer Long.” A sunshine-soaked greatest-hits set that helped reboot the band’s career in the mid-’70s and still sounds like an instant vacation today.
