The Creator took the most beautiful colors of all living things and placed them into a magical bag. He have the magic bag to the children and when it was opened colored butterflies flew out singing. The children were enchanted by the Butterflies but the song birds were so jealous that the Creator took away the ability to sing from the Butterfly." The inlay sections (turquoise, coral, onyx, and shell) are perfectly set within the sterling silver to create a piece that almost has the appearance of enamel. Very smooth, there are no discernible edges when you rub your finger across the surface. It has both a pin clasp and a top loop so the butterfly can be worn as a brooch or pendant. Reyes Neha is known for creating these beautiful inlaid butterflies. Slightly less than 1 3/8” wide and 1 3/8” tall. This lovely piece is in excellent vintage condition.
