Brooches are back & many fashion runways show them as single or worn in group on all kinds of locations (e.,g., turtlenecks, hips, waists, lapels) for a statement or eclectic touch. Be it in group or as a stand alone, this brooch will shine by its beauty because of its simple lines & artistic combination of colours.
Pairing with a minimalist outfit in neutral or solid colours (brown, beige, olive, safari khaki, or burnt orange, for example) will make the brooch “sing”. See photos from this listing.
Purchased at a local craft show in Ottawa in the early 1980's. Signed by the artist. Those geometric designs were very much in fashion during that era. So were accessories with metallic gold.
Lacquered surface. The quarter on some pictures is for sizing.
Condition:
The small pin on the back has a rollover clasp and is in good working order. The paint is cracked in some areas but it “holds” itself without any problem because it was varnished.
Hues vary with light. Priced accordingly. To me the cracking it is not a flaw as it shows it is a vintage piece and painted by hand rather than an industrial piece.
A minimalist design that will add understated chic & elegance to your outfit.
